Funny thing about religion, once you are in it as a child it is really difficult to shake off or break away from the ‘group think’ and belief in all the stories, fables and spurious additions in the ‘Bible’.
Recently I spoke to a person who was brought up a catholic. By the time he was seven he had been subjected to his first ‘confession’ and by the time he was a teenager he saw many people as beyond redemption. Those who went to pubs for instance, were sinners. Later on in life, still in his religion but now having rejected the Catholic institution, mass, confessions, sins and other dogma, he ‘found Jesus’ from an ordinary Christian. Convinced that Jesus had ‘died for his sins’ he declared that he was ‘saved’. NO longer part of the turmoil of this world, he was ok. Apparently recognising Jesus as your saviour is good enough to ‘save’ you from any and all ‘judgement’.
I asked him what would happen to all the tribes and peoples of the planet born over the ages who had never heard of Jesus or the ‘Bible’? @They will be judged on their actions’, was his immediate reply.
Still of the opinion that you get one chance at life, one shot at redemption and then judgement and perhaps eternal damnation he appeared relieved that he was going to be ok because he was saved.
What a load of bullcrap baloney. Religion is a pile of poo and nothing more than a mechanism of controlling the people. This particular religion all put together in 325ad by Constantine.
You are an eternal immortal being living multiple lifetimes. Each lifetime hopefully progressing in spiritual enlightenment and love. There is no judgement of you except by you when you return to spirit. At that time you will be greeted in light and love and enveloped once again in the spiritual. Only you will look at your life and assess how you have done (with your guides) and you will be your harshest critic.
No hell, no devil, no demons, hell hounds or anything else. No purgatory or suffering at the hands of some supreme male leader. All of that is nonsense.
Whilst we are in this life we should all be doing two main things: Spreading love and kindness to all creatures, plants, rocks, trees etc and secondly reassuring as many people as we can that the fear sin and guilt perpetrated by religion is a monumental lie.
